The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 IJMB programme — a one-year academic course that prepares candidates for direct entry admission into 200-level at Nigerian universities.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
• Have at least five (5) O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics) in WAEC, NECO, or GCE
• Include three other relevant subjects related to their intended field
• Score a minimum of 10 points in the final IJMB exam for direct entry consideration
Programme Details
Admitted candidates will be grouped into IJMB 1 to IJMB 6 based on their academic background. The programme runs for one academic year with intensive classes leading up to the IJMB examination.
How to Apply
1. Visit the AFIT IJMB Application Portal https://portal.afit.edu.ng/ijmbApplication/
2. Select 2025/2026 Academic Session
3. Fill out the form online
4. Pay a ₦10,000 application fee using any Interswitch-enabled ATM card
5. Print the completed form and bring it along with your SSCE/GCE results during registration
Application Timeline:
• Opens: 27th June 2025
• Closes: 26th July 2025
Important Notes:
• NAF personnel are not eligible to apply
• Admission is strictly by merit
• No agents or extra charges — beware of fraud
• Only follow instructions provided on the school portal
