Apply For NWDC Foreign Scholarship 2025/2026

The North-West Development Commission (NWDC) is offering fully-funded foreign scholarships for 2025/2026 to students from the North-West states of Nigeria. Submit your application before 18 May 2025.
Eligible States
You must be an indigene of one of these states:
- Jigawa
- Kaduna
- Kano
- Katsina
- Kebbi
- Sokoto
- Zamfara
Proof of origin (LGA and state indigene certificates) is required.
Age Limit
- Undergraduate: Not more than 22 years
- Master’s: Not more than 35 years
- PhD: Not more than 40 years
Academic Requirements
- Undergraduate: 3 distinctions in science subjects + 5 credits in 2 sittings max
- Master’s: CGPA of at least 3.8 (on 5.0 scale)
- PhD: Master’s CGPA of 4.0 or higher
Approved Fields of Study
- Engineering
- Medical Sciences
- Agriculture
- ICT
- Education
Documents Required
- CV
- Primary and Secondary School Certificates
- Degree Certificates (Bachelor’s/Master’s)
- NYSC Certificate or Exemption
- International Passport
- Official Transcript
- Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
- LGA and State Indigene Certificates
- Letter of Motivation
How to Apply
1. Go to the NWDC Scholarship Portal https://nwdc.gov.ng/scholarships
2. Upload all documents (clear and up to date)
3. Submit before 18 May 2025
