Corps Members have been strongly advised against traveling at night and boarding vehicles from unauthorized motor parks due to potential risks. The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah, issued this warning during his address to Corps Members at the NYSC Orientation Camps in Mbaukwu/Mbawulu, Anambra State, and Awgu, Enugu State.

General Fadah emphasized that while the NYSC has implemented robust security measures to ensure the safety of Corps Members throughout their service year, it is crucial for Corps Members to take personal safety seriously. He urged them to avoid unnecessary risks and adhere to all safety guidelines.

In addition to safety advice, General Fadah encouraged Corps Members to seize the unique opportunities presented by the service year. He highlighted the importance of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, which equips Corps Members with vocational skills to become job creators rather than job seekers.

The Director-General also urged Corps Members to initiate projects that will positively impact their host communities, leaving a lasting legacy beyond their service year.

Mrs. Iruma Blessing, the NYSC Anambra State Coordinator, commended the enthusiasm of the Corps Members, noting their active participation in the Skill Acquisition and other Orientation programs.
