Are you planning to apply for the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)? Before starting your registration, it’s important to know the documents needed for NOUN admission so you don’t face delays.

This guide explains all the requirements you must prepare for a successful NOUN registration in 2025.

1. O’Level Results (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB)
Your O’Level result is one of the most important documents for NOUN admission. You must present a valid certificate or printout showing at least five (5) credits, depending on your chosen course.

Accepted exam types:
- WAEC
- NECO
- GCE
- NABTEB

Ensure your name, exam year and subjects are clearly visible.

2. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
NOUN requires proof of age for all new students. You can use:
- Birth certificate (from hospital, LGA, or NPC)
- Court age declaration

Your full name and date of birth must match your O’Level results.

3. Three Passport Photographs
You must submit three clear and recent passport photos. These will be used for:
- Student file
- Admission processing
- NOUN ID card

Use a clean background and ensure your face is visible.

4. JAMB Regularization Slip
If you don’t have a JAMB number or did not pass through JAMB, you must complete JAMB regularization.
After approval, JAMB will issue:
- A JAMB regularization slip
- A new JAMB number (if you did not have one)

This helps NOUN verify your admission details.

Additional Tips for NOUN Registration
- Photocopy all documents at least twice.

- Keep scanned copies on your phone or email.

- Ensure your names match across all documents.

- Visit your nearest NOUN Study Centre for verification.
