Fellowship Overview

The Dr. Fola Aina Fellowship is designed to empower young leaders in Nigeria by providing a comprehensive six-week leadership development programme that focuses on key areas like business, social development, and governance. Participants will engage in academic sessions, cultural activities, and hands-on projects to gain practical experience and essential skills.

Key Features of the Fellowship

- Six-Week Leadership Development Experience: Fellows choose from three themes: Leadership in Business, Social Development, or Governance. The programme includes academic sessions, a leadership curriculum, and cultural activities.
- Colloquium in Abuja: Attend the Dr. Fola Aina Annual Colloquium on Youth, Leadership, and Nation Building, featuring networking opportunities, leadership talks, and interactions with key figures from various sectors.
- Volunteering Projects: Fellows will engage in volunteering activities with Programme Partners, applying skills learned during the leadership development programme.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with peers from across Nigeria and gain access to an alumni network of young leaders impacting various sectors.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Dr. Fola Aina Fellowship, applicants must:

- Be a Nigerian citizen.
- Have resided in Nigeria for at least six months before applying.
- Be aged 21 to 35 years by the application deadline (exceptional applicants aged 18-21 may be considered).
- Commit to at least 3 hours weekly for fellowship activities such as webinars, case studies, and team assignments.
- Be proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Not be an employee or a family member of an employee of the Triola Aina Foundation.
- Must not be a previous fellow of the Dr. Fola Aina Fellowship.
