Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has announced a mop-up examination for former students who overstayed their academic programme duration but still wish to graduate.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the mop-up exam, you must:
- Be a former full-time or WASP student
- Have exceeded your course’s maximum duration (6 years for 4-year courses, 8 years for 5-year courses)
- Have previously registered and attempted the courses you want to retake
- Not request exams in any course you never sat for before
How Many Courses Can You Register?
- Up to 30 credit units: Pay full sessional school fees
- For extra courses: Pay ₦10,000 per course
- Maximum extra courses: 10 (subject to adjustment by the university)
Duties of Deans and HODs
- HODs must notify eligible students
- Deans will coordinate the exams within faculties
- A full list of eligible students must be submitted through the Results Database office

Exam Window: Monday, 14 July – Saturday, 19 July 2025
Who Is Not Eligible?
- Suspended or expelled students cannot participate
