The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially opened applications for experienced professionals and tax officers to join its team. The recruitment exercise is part of FIRS's mission to strengthen operations and improve service delivery.

Available Positions
The agency is seeking qualified candidates for the following roles:
- Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager roles in:
- Tax (Investigation)
- PRS (Research)
- Public Relations
- ICT (Cybersecurity and AI Management)
- Legal
- Senior Manager and Assistant Director roles in Tax (Audit).

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet these requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or HND with at least a second-class lower division or lower credit.
- NYSC Completion: Candidates must have completed their NYSC program by December 31, 2017.
- Age Limit:
- Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager: Not older than 40 years by December 31, 2024.
- Senior Manager/Assistant Director: Not older than 45 years by December 31, 2024.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
- Analytical skills and familiarity with business and industry environments.
- A regulatory mindset and ability to enforce compliance.

Recruitment for Tax Officer Roles
In addition to this exercise, FIRS recently opened applications for Tax Officer positions (Officer Two and Officer One) in eight states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo.
