FUDUTSE Academic Calendar For 2025/26 Academic Session

The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session, outlining key dates and activities for both new and returning students.
According to the institutionโs weekly newsletter dated November 18, 2025, registration for new students will commence on Monday, December 1, 2025, and run for two weeks until December 13, 2025. Returning students will begin registration from December 14 to December 20, 2025, followed by the Christmas and New Year break scheduled from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
Lectures for the first semester are set to begin on January 12, 2026, and will span ten weeks. Other key activities include matriculation on January 29, 2026, first semester examinations from April 20 to May 9, 2026, and an inter-semester break from May 11 to May 24, 2026.
The second semester will commence on May 25, 2026, with six weeks of lectures before a one-week mid-semester break starting July 6, 2026. Lectures will then continue until August 29, 2026, while second semester examinations will hold from August 31 to September 19, 2026.
Marking and board meetings follow through October, with the Senate meeting for consideration of second semester results scheduled for October 29, 2026. The new academic session (2026/2027) is expected to begin on November 9, 2026.
Students and staff are advised to take note of the dates and comply accordingly.
