The GSK Scholarships aim to support individuals from sub-Saharan Africa in becoming future health leaders. This initiative focuses on enhancing global health expertise, strengthening health systems, and advancing health research across Africa.
Scholarship Overview
Three fully funded scholarships are available for the 2025-2026 academic year. These are for students pursuing a one-year, full-time MSc programme at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
Benefits
The GSK Scholarships cover:
- Full tuition fees, including mandatory field trip fees
- A tax-free stipend of GBP 22,000 for living expenses
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
1. Be nationals of a sub-Saharan African country and currently reside there.
2. Plan to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc programme.
3. Confirm financial inability to fund the programme without the scholarship.
4. Meet LSHTMโs minimum English language requirements.
5. Hold a first degree with at least a first-class or upper second-class equivalency.
6. Have received an admission offer for a London-based MSc programme at LSHTM for 2025-2026.
Preference is given to applicants with:
- Potential to contribute to public health or health-related research in Africa.
