Auchi Polytechnic HND Admission Requirements

For candidates looking to pursue the Higher National Diploma (HND) at the Polytechnic, please ensure you meet the following criteria:



JAMB Admission: All candidates must have been admitted through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) during their National Diploma (ND) programme. Those without an Admission Letter and Registration Number from JAMB for the ND programme are ineligible for HND admission. This is essential as such individuals may not qualify for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

National Diploma (ND) Certificate: Candidates should hold an ND from the Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification from recognized institutions. They must also have a National Diploma Certificate in the course they intend to study at the HND level.

O’level Results: Applicants need to have:
- Five (5) O’level credit passes at one sitting OR
- Six (6) O’level credit passes at two (2) sittings.

The passes must include Mathematics and English Language in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB examinations.

Specific Departmental Requirements:
- Mass Communication: Credit pass in Literature in English.
- Accountancy: Credit pass in Economics.
- Business Administration: Credit pass in Economics or Commerce.
- Estate Management & Valuation: Credit pass in Economics.
- Urban and Regional Planning: Credit pass in Economics or Geography.

Industrial Experience: Candidates should have:
- At least one year of Post-ND Industrial Experience (IT) OR
- Two years of Post-ND Industrial Experience for those with a pass grade at the ND level.

Academic Transcripts: Except for graduates of Auchi Polytechnic, academic transcripts from the candidates’ institutions must be submitted before processing the HND admission application.

Important: Candidates should be aware that any deficiencies discovered post-admission will result in withdrawal from the Polytechnic.

How to Apply for Auchi Poly HND Admission Form

To apply for the 2024/2025 Auchi Polytechnic HND program, follow these steps:

Payment Procedure:
- Applicants must pay a non-refundable application and screening fee of ₦20,000.00 to the Auchi Polytechnic Treasury Single Account (TSA) No.1000075 .
- Payments should be made using the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) generated from the Polytechnic’s official website.

Application Steps:
1. Open your web browser and go to Auchi Polytechnic’s official website.
2. Select the desired portal (morning, evening, or degree).
3. Click on “Apply for 2024/2025 Auchi Polytechnic HND.”
4. Accurately fill out the application form request.
- Create a username (preferably using your phone number) and a secure password. Note these details for future logins. Click on “Generate Remita Retrieval Reference.”
5. Visit a designated bank with the generated RRR or use any approved REMITA payment channels to make your payment.
6. Wait a few hours for payment processing before returning to the portal.
7. Log in using your username and password.
8. Click “Continue with my Application Form” and complete it carefully.
- Ensure all details are accurate to avoid complications.
9. Upload your passport photograph and the required scanned copies of your credentials.
10. Print:
- One copy of the acknowledgement slip.
- Two copies of the application form.
- One copy of the application summary sheet.
11. Place two (2) sets of photocopies of your credentials, the Remita e-receipt, birth certificate, and two recent passport-sized photographs in an envelope along with the forms.
