JAMB Announces 2024 Most Sought After Institutions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the universities that are most in-demand for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). Leading the list are the University of Ilorin and Lagos State University.
During the 2024 policy meeting, JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede highlighted the top 10 institutions that attracted the highest number of applicants for this year's UTME.
Here is the list of the top ten universities sought after in the 2024 UTME applications:
1. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN): 64,343 applicants
2. Lagos State University (LASU): 62,601 applicants
3. University of Lagos (UNILAG): 59,105 applicants
4. Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE): 55,481 applicants
5. Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK): 54,495 applicants
6. University of Ibadan (UI): 50,598 applicants
7. University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN): 48,544 applicants
8. University of Benin (UNIBEN): 47,811 applicants
9. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU): 44,155 applicants
10. University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT): 40,176 applicants
These universities have attracted significant interest from applicants during the 2024 UTME application period.
