JAMB Discloses Top Scorers In 2025 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of top scorers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Speaking at the 2025 Policy Meeting in Abuja, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, announced that Okeke Chinedu Christian from Anambra State scored 375, making him the highest scorer in the 2025 UTME. He applied to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos.

However, JAMB discovered that Okeke had previously been admitted into the Department of Medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and is still actively enrolled there. The board has since written to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria regarding the case.
