Kano State Postgraduate Scholarship 2024/2025

Background
The Kano State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, launched the 1,001 Postgraduate Scholarship Programme in 2023 to sponsor high-achieving graduates for Master's programmes in specialised fields.
Following the success of the first batch, the second batch of applications is now open for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be a recognised indigene of Kano State.
- Hold a First-Class Honours Degree or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
- Be aged 30 or younger (for four-to-five-year degree holders) or 35 or younger (for degrees exceeding five years).
- Possess a valid medical fitness certificate.
- Have completed the NYSC programme or possess an exemption/exclusion certificate.
- Not currently benefit from any other scholarship or sponsorship.
- Submit a personal statement of approximately 500 words.
- Agree to the scholarship's terms and conditions.
Special consideration is given to candidates with disabilities or those pursuing studies in areas addressing state service gaps.
To apply for the scholarship:
1. Complete the application form on the Kano State Government Official Website
2. Print the completed form and attach the following documents:
- Birth certificate
- Indigene certificate
- Primary school certificate
- WASC/GCE/SSCE/NABTEB/NBAIS certificate
- Degree certificate
- Academic transcript
- Medical fitness certificate
3. Submit the hardcopy form and documents to the Secretariat of the Screening Committee at:
Conference Hall, Kano State Scholarships Board, No. 23 Abdullahi Bayero Way, Kano.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted within two weeks of this advertisement.
