KWASU gets NUC accreditation for 10 new programs for the 2024/2025 session
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 10 new programs to be run at Kwara State University (KWASU) from the 2024/2025 session.
The approval was communicated via a letter to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, signed by Abubakar M. Girei, the acting director of Academic Planning, on behalf of the Ag. Executive Secretary.
This approval was based on assessments from resource verification visits by expert panels.
B.Sc . Estate Management
B.Sc . Geography
B.Sc . Urban and Regional Planning
B.Eng . Mining Engineering
B.Sc . Marketing
B.Sc . Sociology
B.Sc . Criminology and Security Studies
B.Sc . Physiology
B.Sc . Human Anatomy
B.Sc . Cyber Security
These programs are to be conducted in full-time mode. KWASU was advised to ensure adequate human and material resources for these programs' development and growth.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, welcomed the approval as timely, noting it increases the university's undergraduate offerings to 80 programs, and commended the staff's effort in securing this approval.
