MUTA Scholarship For Nigerian Students 2025/2026: How To Apply

The Mutual Union of the Tiv in America (MUTA) Education Committee has announced the 2025 Education Scholarship Program. This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students studying STEM, medicine, or allied medical fields.
Award Details:
The program will award up to 16 scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.
- One recipient will be selected from each of the 14 Tiv-speaking LGAs in Benue State, as well as one each from Taraba and Nasarawa states.
- The scholarship amount will be determined and announced after the selection process.
- Funds can cover tuition, fees, research, or other education-related costs.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate STEM, medicine, or allied medical program.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicants not meeting the CGPA requirement will not be considered.
Application Process:

Upload the following supporting documents:
- Personal Statement: Write a two-page, double-spaced essay detailing your academic history, achievements, community service, career goals, and financial need.
- Certificate of Origin: A document confirming your state or local government origin.
- CGPA Certification Form: A signed letter from your institutionโs Academic Officer or Head of Department verifying your CGPA.

Evaluation Criteria:
Applications will be reviewed based on:
- CGPA (60%)
- Personal Statement (40%)
- Falsified information will lead to disqualification.
Submission Deadline:
Submit your application and documents by 5 PM Tuesday, 15th April 2025 (US EST, GMT-5).
Notification and Award Ceremony:
Winners will be notified via email, and their names will be published on MUTAโs official website https://muta.org/ and social media platforms by June 2025.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony planned for July or August 2025.
