The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has officially released the results of the May 2025 Professional Examinations for General and Post-Basic Nursing programmes. A total of 13,880 candidates passed, representing a 76% overall success rate.
Pass Rates by Programme:
- General Nursing Programme: 9,472 passed (83%)
- Post-Basic Nursing Programmes: 2,397 passed (62%)
- Foreign Trained Nurses (FTN): 364 passed (53%)
- Refresher Programme: 81 passed (44%)
- Community Nursing Programme: 1,566 passed (77%)
Next Steps for Successful Candidates:
- Heads of training institutions can access results online from Monday, 12 May 2025
- Visit the NMCN portal to begin your registration and licensing https://portal.nmcn.gov.ng/
- Complete registration within 90 days to avoid a late fee of ₦16,250
