SystemSpecs Children's Day Essay Competition 2025

SystemSpecs invites Nigerian children to enter the 2025 Children’s Day Essay Contest.
This yearly contest helps children share ideas on how to use tech to solve real problems.
The theme for this year is How I Would Use Technology to Mobilise My Peers for a Greater Nigeria.
Children aged 9 to 16 can take part by writing a fresh idea or improving an old one.
The goal is to show how digital tools can help friends work together to create positive change.
The plan should be clear, easy to follow, and capable of making a real impact.
Each entry must be original—no copied work is allowed.
Only one entry is allowed per child, and a parent, guardian, or school head must approve it.
Mark the Dates
- Portal Opens: 10:00 am, 7 February 2025
- Portal Closes: 11:59 pm, 11 April 2025
- Winners Named: Tuesday, 27 May 2025
Know the Age Groups
- Junior (ages 9–12): Up to 1,000 words
- Senior (ages 13–16): Up to 1,500 words
Follow What Judges Want
- Tech Focus: Shows how tech will help others.
- New Ideas: Brings a fresh or bold plan.
- Can Work: The idea can be done in real life.
- Clear Writing: Easy to read and understand.
