The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The sale of forms is currently ongoing.
Available Programmes:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Master’s degrees (MSc, MA, MEd, MEng, MLIS, MPharm)
- M.Phil/Ph.D (Integrated)
- Doctoral degrees (Ph.D )
Faculties include:
Agriculture, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Communication & Media Studies, Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Law, Management Sciences, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Computing, Vocational Education, Library & Information Sciences, among others.
Duration of Study:
PGD: 2–4 Semesters (Engineering: 4–6 Semesters)
Master’s: 4–6 Semesters
Ph.D: 6–10 Semesters
M.Phil/Ph.D: Minimum of 2 Semesters before transition
Eligibility Requirements:
i. Five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
ii. Minimum of Third Class Degree for PGD
iii. HND not below Lower Credit
iv. NYSC Certificate (Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion)
v. Department-specific requirements and research proposals for PGD, Master’s & Ph.D
vi. Academic transcripts and 3 reference letters
Method of Application:
1. Access the Portal:
- Visit https://eportals.uniuyo.edu.ng or
- Go directly to https://admissions.uniuyo.edu.ng
- Click “Apply Now”
- Create an account and verify your email
2. Make Payment via Remita:
- Generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Pay online or at bank
- Select application type (PGD, Master’s, Ph.D )
3. Fill the Application Form:
- Start new application
- Upload required documents (including research proposal in PDF)
- Submit the form
4. Print Acknowledgement Slip
- No hard copy submission required
Closing Date:
Two (2) months from the date of this publication.
