Engr. Dr. Chigozie Francolins Uzoh has been awarded the esteemed Alexander Von Humboldt Fellowship for Experienced Researchers. He will carry out his research at the Institute of Solid Process Engineering, Technical University of Hamburg, Germany.
Dr. Uzoh, an Associate Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, previously served as the Head of Department. This recognition underscores his exceptional academic contributions and research expertise.
The Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation supports highly qualified researchers worldwide, providing tailored sponsorship opportunities. The foundation prioritizes gender balance and diversity across various research disciplines, including Science, Technology, and Engineering.
Dr. Uzoh is scheduled to embark on a one-year research leave starting January 5, 2025, with the option for an additional year. His research areas include process and product design for environmental applications, controlled release coated fertilizers (CRCF), biofuels, petroleum, petrochemicals, and sustainable coating technologies.
A proud native of Awka in Anambra State, Dr. Uzoh previously received the Postdoctoral Researchers Award from the Institute of Process Engineering, Beijing, under the Chinese Academy of Science President’s International Fellowship Initiative (CAS-PIFI) in 2019.
