WAEC Releases 2025 GCE 1st Series Results โ Check Now

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results for the 2025 1st series of the WASSCE for private candidates, also known as GCE.
Dr. Amos Angut, Head of National Office (HNO) for WAEC Nigeria, confirmed the release in a statement shared through the councilโs Public Affairs department.
How to Check Your Result:
1. Visit www.waecdirect.org
2. Enter your Examination Number
3. Select Examination Year: 2025
4. Select Examination Type: PRIVATE CANDIDATES
5. Enter your PIN and Serial Number
6. Click on Submit to view your result
Key Details:
- The examination held across 143 centres nationwide from January 29 to February 15, 2025.
- Total number of candidates: 9,054
- Male candidates: 4,384 (48.42% )
- Female candidates: 4,670 (51.58% )
Performance Statistics:
- 2,441 candidates (26.96% ) obtained credits and above in at least five core subjects including English and Mathematics.
- 8,651 candidates (95.55% ) had their results fully processed and released.
- 403 candidates (4.45% ) are still awaiting some results due to candidate-related errors.
- 56 candidates (0.62% ) had their results withheld due to alleged exam malpractice. These candidates may appeal through the WAEC complaints portal: waecinternational.org/complaints
Note: Candidates can also apply for their certificates online through the WAEC Certificate Request Portal (e-Certman).
