The Umaru Shinkafi Legacy Foundation (USLF) is inviting students from Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara to participate in its first essay contest on the theme:
"Socio-Economic Implications of Kidnapping and Banditry in Nigeria"
This contest is part of the Shinkafi Intelligence and Security Summit (SISS) and is open to young minds ready to offer solutions and insights on a national crisis.
Who Can Apply?
✔ Age: 16–25 years
✔ Must be enrolled in a tertiary institution (university, polytechnic, college of education, etc.)
✔ Must reside in Sokoto, Kebbi, or Zamfara
Essay Guidelines:
• Word Count: 2,000–2,500
• Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5
• Format: PDF only
• Must be original (no plagiarism)
• Include a valid school ID or personal ID
Prizes to Be Won:
🥇 1st Prize: ₦1,000,000
🥈 2nd Prize: ₦500,000
🥉 3rd Prize: ₦300,000
Deadline: 27th June 2025
Winners Announced: 6th July 2025 during the 9th Remembrance of Late Alhaji Umaru Ali Shinkafi
